About www.FreeUSandWorldMaps.com Bruce Jones and Bruce Jones Design Inc. is the illustrator and developer of FreeUSandWorldMaps.com and the World of Maps clip art map collection. Most of the maps that you see on these pages are also available in editable forms for PowerPoint and Adobe Illustrator and are sold on our two main sites, www.bjdesign.com, great if you need lots of maps for one low price and www.mapsfordesign.com if you only need one or two. The map are perfect for presentations, illustration, graphic design, websites. With a variety of World Projection Maps, US and Canada Maps, US State Maps, US County Maps, World Regional maps, over 90 Country Maps, and Global maps. I have been drawing maps most of my life but really started concentrating on them around 1990. I am a graphic designer and was looking for a product that I could create and sell for myself seperate from all of the products that I was working on for everyone else. I have loved maps my whole life and realized that they aren't that far away from design so I could do both. After a lot of research I located great maps sources at the CIA, the Defense Department, USGS and other US grovenment agencies. At that that I had to scan all the maps and then I retraced them point by point and converted them into all the formats that you see today. We have maps everywhere including in the kitchen. This has been great for everyone in my family. Hear something on the news and check out where in the world it is. The kids get a geography lessone without even knowing it.
Along with being a business graphic designer and developer of the World of Maps clip art collection, I also set up the eSchoolmaps clip art collection for schools, and a collection of antique and historical maps from the 1500-1900s collection, you can see those at www.antiquehistoricalmaps.com.
